Game Items as NFTs

Last updated 8 months ago

All equipment in The Last Lord can be minted as on-chain NFTs, allowing players to trade them on NFT marketplaces.

We initially considered minting all in-game items as on-chain NFTs. However, after careful deliberation, we decided against it due to the complexities involved with consumables, which require destruction. We could not devise a perfect solution to handle the intricate calculations and design a recycling mechanism.

Nevertheless, the majority of in-game items will be NFTs. This means they can be freely bought, sold, and traded among players. As on-chain NFTs, these items are fully owned by the players, rather than being mere server data. They possess known and verifiable scarcity, enabling players to better understand their value and rarity.

Please note that in the test version, game NFTs cannot be minted on-chain. This feature will be introduced in The Last Lord: No Man's Land.
